Beginner & Usage

FAQ 2021-07-13

I’m a total beginner, is Niut compound bow suitable for me?

Absolutely. All Niut models feature wide adjustable draw weight and length, so you can start with light pull weight to practice safely. We include detailed English user manuals with safety operation guides for new archers.

How to adjust draw weight / draw length on Niut bows? Do I need a bow press?

Niut series supports manual screw adjustment of draw weight without a bow press. Draw length can be adjusted by switching modules on the cam wheels, detailed steps are shown in the user guide.

What is Brace Height, and how does it affect shooting?

Brace height is the vertical distance between grip and string. Niut 701 offers 5″/5.5″/6″ switchable brace height: higher brace height brings higher fault tolerance for beginners, shorter brace height delivers faster arrow speed.

Can I dry-fire the compound bow?

Strictly NO. Dry-fire (shoot without arrow/pellet) will cause severe damage to limbs, cams and strings. Niut’s patented anti-dry-fire device reduces risks, but dry-fire operation is still forbidden.

How to store and maintain the bow when not in use?

1. Store horizontally in a dry, cool bow bag, avoid long-time sunlight, high temperature or humid environments like car trunks;

2. Apply bow string wax to cables and strings every 2–4 weeks to prevent fraying;

3. Check all screws, cams and limb fittings regularly for looseness.
